Quotes From Home Visiting Volunteers:

“I have only just started volunteering having completed the prep course a few weeks ago. I had my second visit with my family today the best bit for me was as I was leaving today, mum said ‘thankyou so much for giving me your time’. As someone who had a volunteer myself, I know just how helpful and special that can be – knowing someone cares”

” I’ve been volunteering for nearly a year now. The most rewarding thing? Seeing a families confidence grow. Seeing them become who they always wanted to be. Being a part of that is priceless.”

“I had a lovely volunteer that supported our family for nearly two years in which time my confidence and self esteem grew. I then got trained and have been a volunteer to other families and am the Volunteer Rep for our area too. I am studying to be an Occupational Therapist at uni and the volunteering work goes hand in hand with the principles of Homestart ! Fantastic work Homestart!”
